Spain is currently on lockdown, with people consequently only allowed out to go shopping or go to work.
Tony has therefore taken the time to update fmc-stage.thinkdemo.co.uk on the current position from Spain and give his thoughts on how dental practices should deal with the coronavirus.

Dental practice principals need to give clear and concise direction for their teams and their patients. Tony suggests over communicating with your teams to make sure they understand where they’re going.
Some of the things practices in Spain and the UK are doing includes:
- Recption triage, followed by an over the phone consultation with the dentist
- Payment over the phone if the patient needs to come in
- Only allowing patients in when the practice is ready for them
- The receptionist shouldn’t be making decisions over whether an appointment is an emergency or not
- Significant time spacing between patients for decontamination
- Only treating patients with no symptoms.
‘Over communicate with your people,’ Tony says. ‘Keep them in the picture, keep your patients in the picture.
‘This will pass, there is an end goal. But do not stop your marketing. People can still consume your information.’
