Dr Kiran Shankla is an award-winning, internationally published dentist. Kiran has completed a master’s in Restorative Dentistry from UCL Eastman and has undertaken numerous postgraduate training courses. She has received several dental awards and was named Best Young Dentist in 2022 at the Dentistry Awards.

Her most recent achievement has been attaining a fellowship from the International Academy for Dental Facial Aesthetic in New York. Kiran is a Key Opinion Leader for DMG and SDI. She has had her case studies published regionally and has lectured internationally on the treatment of white spot lesions. Kiran is on the committee for BDA Reading and currently works at Kendrick View Dental Practice, Reading.

Adrian has spent over seven years helping UK dental practices, both big and small, tackle tough challenges. Gilly embarked on her dental career in 1993 as a dedicated dental nurse, and over the years, she has amassed a wealth of experience in practice management. Her journey in the dental field has been marked by her passion and knowledge in the area of compliance.

Gilly has developed a special interest in compliance and has become a mentor to dental practices, guiding them through their compliance obligations. Richard Scarborough is the Head of Medenta and has many years of experience working in the dental sector. Mervyn Druian has been a leader and innovator in dentistry for the past forty years. He has served as Chairman of the Met Branch of the BDA and has been International President of Alpha Omega, one of the oldest international dental organisations. Mervyn helped launch Independent Dentistry, which became the Private Practitioners Group of the BDA, and he serves on the editorial boards of Clinical Dentistry and Private Dentistry.

Shaz Memon is the founder of Digimax Dental in London, the world’s highest-rated dental marketing agency. He is a dental marketing expert, astute business leader, philanthropist, and award-winning author. Dr Tom Murphy’s implant practice is focussed on more complex aspects of dental implantology, such as guided bone regeneration/block grafting/periodontal soft tissue grafting/ sinus lifts (internal and external), aesthetic implant rehabilitation and full arch implant surgery. Regarding full arch surgery he is very experienced with immediate placement/immediate load surgeries, and is one of the few implant surgeons in Ireland that carries out extra-maxillary pterygoid implants, trans-sinus implants and zygomatic implants.

Jennie Jones leads Nockolds Resolution, delivering complaint resolution services for regulated and healthcare sectors. With over 20 years of experience, she specialises in mediation techniques and complaint handling, ensuring resolutions for consumer and patient grievances.

Tripat graduated from King’s College London, completed dental foundation training and went on to carry out three years of dental core training. She gained experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics and restorative dental specialties. Tripat is now working as a specialty dentist in restorative dentistry and is a clinical tutor for the King’s College London students of dental therapy and hygiene.

Whilst working in maxillofacial surgery, she saw how mouth cancer can have a huge effect on oral wellbeing and the impact it can have on quality of life. As a clinical ambassador for the Mouth Cancer Foundation, she is passionate about oral health promotion and spreading awareness & education for health care professionals and patients alike.

Emma has many years’ experience in dental nursing and oral health care, having qualified from Manchester Dental School. She was at one point the only Sponsored McMillian Oral Health practitioner working for the Pennine Trust and supported patients at all stages of their treatment of oral cancers. Emma led nurse led clinics and was the DCP member of UKOMIC. Her work has seen her present and write both nationally and internationally and allowed her to present at the Mouth Cancer Awareness event in Parliament. Emma is also a clinical advisor for MCF. She has throughout the pandemic worked closely with care homes and was proud to contribute to the COP26 event which put oral care for the older person under the spot light.

Mr Patel is an ambassador for Oracle Head & Neck Cancer UK and leads the Prosthodontics service at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust. He also leads oral rehabilitation services for both Head and Neck Cancer, and Cleft patients, focusing on quality of life and public health.
