Guided surgery – making implant placement simpler
Guided surgery for implant placement is not a new concept in implant dentistry.
Restoratively driven implant placement is a well accepted and often quoted dogma when clinicians consider implant positioning.
However, guided surgery, which many believe to be the apogee of restoratively driven implant planning and placement, still struggles to find wide-scale acceptance in the UK.
In this webinar, I will put forward the case for computer-guided surgery, discussing the benefits of planning your surgery virtually before going to the patient’s mouth and the clinical advantages of guided surgery before looking to the future and how this fast-evolving technology may evolve.
Learning outcomes
During the webinar delegates will learn how:
- Using guided surgery protocols can simplify all aspects of implant dentistry
- Planning your implant cases virtually benefits the surgeon, restoring colleague (if different to the surgeon) and most importantly the patient
- Guided surgery can be used to improve safety
- Virtually planned and surgically guided implant placement is a powerful tool medico-legally.
